Will engineers help me move my DNS to Cloudfloor?
We provide 1 hour of free DNS Consultation and OnBoarding when you purchase an Enterprise contract. Additional time can be purchase with a one-time premium support installment. We provide detailed documentation on how to use AXFR to import zones and setup DNS. We will help you design an onboarding and delegation plan if you join us as a new Enterprise DNS customer
Can I use Failover without changing my DNS?
Yes! We have CNAME Failover where we provide you with a domain name on our platform. You simply CNAME your Website or other hostname from your current DNS provider to this CNAME. We monitor and load balance on our end and adjust this domain name on 0ur platform for the current IP. We have many customers using this solution and it’s a quick and simple way to utilize failover without moving your DNS provider. In some cases your DNS provider may not offer low TTL or DNS Cache times and this can make utilizing CNAME Failover difficult. In order to use CNAME Failover we suggest your DNS Provider offers TTL’s of 1 minute or less.
Can I use GEO DNS without changing my DNS Provider?
Yes! We can offer you a CNAME on our platform where you can use GEO DNS without having to change your Authoritative DNS provider. You simply CNAME your Website or other hostname from your current DNS provider to this GEO DNS CNAME. We detect the visitor’s location and send them to the proper location. Instantly add GEO DNS to your website or service to enhance your end-user experience.
How difficult is it to setup Secondary DNS?
Our Secondary DNS hosting is actually very easy to implement. In most cases it takes about 5-10 minutes to setup the ACL at your current DNS provider to add our AXFR servers, and then transfer the zone. We have Secondary DNS setup documents to walk you through the setup of a secondary domain on our platform. If you have more questions, our technical sales and engineers have setup Secondary DNS with most major DNS providers and can assist every step of the way.
