Global Server Monitoring
Netmon Global Server Monitoring Detects Slowdowns, Failures & Errors in your Servers and Apps
Netmon Server monitoring notifies you upon website & server failures. Working hand in hand with our DNS Failover & DNS Load Balancing services, it adds uptime and performance by monitoring critical services
Netmon monitors from 7 different monitoring sites around the globe and provides custom tests specific to your server(s) and protocols. When a failure is detected our advanced monitoring algorithm will notify you and when failover is enabled it can instantly failover your DNS to a backup. With monitoring intervals as low as 10 seconds, Netmon will notify you and take action to keep your internet presence online
Use our custom alert profiles and custom notifications to build the alerts and messages the way you want. Test results are stored up to a month from each location allowing you a historical view of uptime and failures during that period. Custom Callout scripts allow a more seamless integration and the ability to interact with your own platform(s)
* CloudfloorDNS Netmon is an add-on service and purchased with webzone credits. Netmon pricing is calculated based on Testing Interval and Log Storage time. Selecting a higher test interval and lower log storage lowers the cost, and setting a low test interval and higher storage duration will increase the cost.
- Test at custom intervals from 10 seconds, 1 min, 3, 5, 10, 30, 60, and up
- Test on HTTP, HTTPS, POP, SMTP, IMAP SSH, FTP, TELNET, DNS, TCP/UDP , Ping, Probe, Pingdom, & DNS
- DNS Failover – When Server is down, Netmon notfies you and invokes a DNS change to a Backup IP
- DNS Load Balancing – If a server fails, Netmon notifies you and can update DNS to remove it from a LB pool
- Custom Notifications – Tiered Notification, Client Notifications allow fine tuning of your up/down messages
Today’s online business environment is all about uptime, speed and performance. The faster you can deliver your DNS and site content, the more customers you can serve. Since performance is such a critical aspect of running an online business, monitoring your performance is just as important. Our Netmon server monitoring monitors your website or server(s) from multiple locations around the globe and notifies you when there is an outage or degraded performance.
To test performance, you would enable our performance threshold within the test itself. You can decide on the response time in milliseconds (ms) and when performance drops and there is increased latency, that would be trigger a failover or removal from a server pool .
Today’s online business environment is all about uptime, speed and performance. The faster you can deliver your DNS and site content, the more customers you can serve. Our DNS Load Balancing helps you spread out the traffic over multiple servers. Netmon server monitoring monitors your website or server(s) from multiple locations around the globe and notifies you when there is an outage or degraded performance. Based on these tests, you can make intelligent decisions on what to do with your traffic. Add or remove servers from pools, change any DNS record within your zone instantly.
Security is very important in today’s online business environment and protecting your brand is just as critical. Our Netmon server monitoring can not only detect a server outage, netmon can also notify you about an unauthorized content change. You can detect a content change by utilizing the CRC check option or by looking for specific site content. Any page change will cause the CRC check to fail. This can help protect your website against an unauthorized content changes. You can also activate our optional DNS failover to move the website to a backup server upon a CRC failure or text string failure.
How Team Engineering uses Netmon
On July 11, 2015 Jim Stokes was awoken by his custom alert on his cell phone – his main server just went down and the CloudfloorDNS server monitoring just alerted him that the system was going to failover within another minute.
Jim then did something that not many system admins would do – he went back to sleep. That’s right, rolled over and slept like a baby the rest of the evening. Jim uses the Netmon Global monitoring services from CloudfloorDNS – who also happens to provide the DNS for team engineering. Using the Netmon, he can test his servers for not only HTTP error or response codes, but he can also set a response time threshold where the failover will kick in should the server slow down. When a server is detected as down or slow, Jim and his team will get the message within seconds of the failure since he’s a 1 minute monitoring interval. Jim loves the services provided by CloudfloorDNS and he enjoys his sleep much more because of it!
